old dawg

My photography is an activity that I found is good for my soul. It provides me with opportunities for quiet reflection when viewing Natures wonders - whether they be of an old and familiar place or some new horizon that will provide new vistas to be photographed.

Photography also provides me with friendships with like minded people who enjoy the opportunities to learn new skills which will lead to more knowledge and improve our images.

What I like to photograph.
I enjoy capturing images of birds and other wildlife as there is some excitement in the hunt and capture.
I also enjoy some sports / action photography as varied as: Show Jumping, Rodeo and Surfing.

In the last few years I have become interested in capturing images of our land and coasts and have become more attuned to changes in colour and light as the seasons change.

Candid portraiture of people is another area I enjoy the thrill of the hunt and surprise. This often gives me an opportunity to supply my sister Louise with subjects for her to paint.

“Louise Corke “ is a master pastel artist and has received numerous awards including : Australian Pastelist of the year ( 2007 ) and in 2009 The People’s Choice Award at the d’Arcy Doyle Art Awards.
